Laveranues Coles Gets Next 2 Years Guaranteed

Fantasy Football Blog This was a good compromise by the Jets. Laveranues not only has a really hard name to spell, but has been a very solid producer for the Jets. In fantasy football terms, he fits the steady Eddie Kennison role or perhaps an older Rod Smith type of guy. You [...]

Ben Watson and Sammy Morris

Does anybody remember that the Patriots were down these two workhorses for much of the season? Coincidentally the games started getting tighter once these intergral parts were forced out due to injuries. Do the Giants win with the Patriots at full force? My speculation is no. Don’t get me wrong, they [...]

#1 Pick: Brady, Peterson, or Tomlinson

Fantasy Football Blog I think it comes down to 3 guys: Ladanian, Brady, and Peterson.
Right now, I’m thinking it’s down to Brady and Peterson and I give the edge to Brady.
The pick really comes down to your personality. Do you want to live on the riskier side or play it safe?
Both players should produce [...]

Alan Faneca and Damien Woody now Jets

Fantasy Football Blog The Jets are definitely trying to improve their line.
Pro Bowl left guard Alen Faneca became the highest paid offensive lineman after signing with the Jets. He had previously been a key cog to the Steelers running game.
Damien Woody played for the Lions in 2006, but sat out last season. I’m [...]

Alex Smith v. Shaun Hill in SF

Fantasy Football Blog Mike Nolan has announced the QB position is a competition between these two and he has no favorites.
I can’t blame him after the 49ers once franchise QB looked bewildered in the games he played. I actually predicted Smith would be a solid 10-15th ranked QB in 2007. Needless to say [...]

Fantasy Blogger Upgrading

Hi friends,
Thanks for your continued viewership and support. In an effort to increase my viability as a top tier fantasy football blog, the website is undergoing some upgrades aesthetically and navigationwise. This will only last until tomorrow, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up. If you have any questions or [...]

Chad Johnson Has Bad Interview With ESPN

Fantasy Football Blog I caught the Chad Johnson interview on ESPN by the annoying guy with the Greek salad haircut. It doesn’t look good for ‘08. Not that it looked great otherwise before.
Let me preface my words by saying I personally think Chad Johnson is a cool football player because he’s entertaining and [...]

Darrell Jackson Experiment Done in SF

DJAX 07 - what a bust that was!
He was one of my key target players in my drafts last year. I think I was taking him in the late 5th, early 6th. I ended up having to cut ties with him in all leagues as he was using up roster space and producing [...]

David Carr Signs On With New York

Ok first of all, why does he wear those gloves?
To me he always looks dumb because if you play bad, you can’t have some signature outcast thing going on that only you do (someone else does it but I forgot who).
Anyways, chaulk me up as someone who thought Carr was unfairly branded a never [...]

Rams’ Jeff Wilkins Retires; Josh Brown Signs

One of the better kickers in football retired this week in Jeff Wilkins. Now, Josh Brown has been lured from the Seahawks to replace Wilkins. I haven’t seen word yet on who will be the kicker for the Seahawks yet.
Thus far in his career, Brown has been a slightly above average kicker fantasy [...]

ESPN: Marvin Harrison Allegedly Involved In Shooting

This is not substantiated, but Harrison has told police - according to Anthony Gargano, WIP AM Radio Host in Philadelphia, Marvin Harrison’s hometown - that he was in a fight and heard gunfire at Marvin Harrison’s bar in Philadelphia, but did not shoot the man he was in a fight with.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Stay tuned for more information.
